Chapter One: Why Design?

To make sure our projects completed at their highest potential, we collaborate with our clients before the building begins. We facilitate the process of exploring both creative and practical alternatives to design challenges. Our goal is to provide an inventive approach, which will bring your vision of your home into a beautiful and functional reality. As an Energy Star® partner and certified Green Professional for over 10 years, all of our homes meet or exceed the minimum Model Energy Code requirements. Our in-house architectural team, led by Cheryl Lee, our president and architect Michael McGee, uses computer-aided design (CAD) system as a tool that allows the builder and client to work together to design a structure, view it from a variety of perspectives quickly, and print out drawings for further review. 

Whether you have a few ideas or many examples of plans, we can create a home that will accommodate your lifestyle: we can meet the challenge. We believe that your home should be more than livable and affordable, it should reflect your personality. We consider it our responsibility, to integrate the building site into the design plan: taking advantage of the land's shape: designing for natural light and organizing space toward visual points of interest. We design toward minimizing waste, reducing energy consumption, and maximizing value. Our full-time, full-service continues under the guidance of our Interior Designer, April Theisen and Purchasing Director, Cari Tennell. They coordinate with our in-house architectural team while working with our clients to achieve the complete design package and custom specifications that corresponds with your budget. As a result, our homes are designed to be custom and unique to each individual client. As such, we promise that we will not duplicate any home ensuring that each home remains unique therefore retaining it’s value and pleasure for years to come.

Chapter Two: True Craftsmanship

Our homes are constructed with superior craftsmanship and quality materials. Tremendously important are our relationships with some of the area's finest contractors. These professional partnerships help to ensure the quality of our homes. To reach this high level of quality, our Construction Manager and Vice-President, Bradford Lee inspects each and every home daily and guides our team of professionals using the plans and specifications. We take a comprehensive view in our approach to our projects- a view that encompasses both the largest and smallest details.

For example, our typical building components and techniques address prevention of drafts and moisture control; increased levels of insulation; insulated/ low-e windows thoughtfully placed for cross ventilation, natural light and privacy. All air-exchange systems we select create a healthy environment with optimum energy efficiency. We’ve teamed up with companies such as Honeywell and their “Enviracaire Elite” products to improve your home’s indoor air quality and increase your comfort and peace of mind. Our focus on the details continues through to the interior trim work of your home. Whether it is a built-in media cabinet, book shelf, or bench, our quality and craftsmanship ensures that these features will not only be a focal point in your home, but that they will come to serve as a part of your lifestyle for many years.
