CL Design-Build Presents.....The Stuck Residence This 3008 s.f. Arts and Crafts style custom home is under construction on Lot 149 in Fields of Farm Colony Community in Yorkville. We broke ground November 06, 2007 and poured the foundation wall on November 9. We backfilled on November 26 and set steel on November 28.Framing began on Thursday, November 29 and in spite of the weather, we are making good progress. Second floor wall framing started December 11 and roof framing began December 17. We shingled the roof and finished the rough plumbing. On January 9, we began roughing in the HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning) and the electrician and low voltage contractor completed their work on January 22. We passed our rough inspection on the 30th. We started insulating the home on February 1st and passed our insulation inspection on February 5. Energy Diagnostics performed their first test on the home on February 6 and we began installing drywall. After drywall was completed and primed on February 27, we began to install the flooring. while outside, siding and concrete slabs were being installed. The stonework for the fireplace was begun on March 6 since weather had prevented the masons to work on the outside. Once the flooring was complete in the Foyer, the stairs were installed with railings installation at a later date. On March 10, cabinets were delivered and subsequently installed and the remaining millwork is scheduled to begin March 14. Weather is cooperating this week, so siding is moving along quite well with stone work right behind it. Once the frost in the ground at the front porch has thawed we will pour the concrete so we can build the columns and install siding. The painters began their work on March 31 and are almost done with their task, except for some touch up later. The garage doors were installed on April 1. The granite countertops have been installed in the Kitchen and the remaining tops will be installed by April 10. The weather finally cooperated and we were able to get the front porch slab poured. After it cures, we will begin to frame the exterior porch columns. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
